Counting our blessings as we reflect on 2023

I am pleased to share some highlights of God’s faithfulness this year through our donors’ generosity to our various Julie’s Heart Cry ministries.

  • Remember Barbara’s story? I am over the moon to announce that she finally has a place she can call home. Barbara lived in a classroom for 15 years – sleeping on the floor – while serving her students by day.

  • Our ministry has acquired property for future outreach activities – such as a safe house, classrooms, an office, and a guest house. I'm still in awe of how the Lord provided the $79,000 to make this possible.

  • By God’s grace, 30 students graduated from the vocational school in Uganda this past year. The graduates received complete kits in their respective fields so they could hit the ground running.

  • Adjumani Vocational Training School in Uganda has graduated 80 students – 40 this year alone.

  • The multipurpose building in Adjumani, which seats 500 and was completed this year, will be used for various activities plus rented out for private meetings and weddings. This will generate income to help support the vocational training school.

  • Fifteen pastors’ wives enrolled in our first sewing class at the Bimon Resource Center in the Central African Republic (CAR); 14 will graduate in late October.

  • We thank the Lord for 10 new students in our Youth at Risk program in CAR for the 2023-2024 academic year. Photos will be coming soon.

  • We have 60 university students who have graduated, thanks to our generous donors.

  • Of the nine original students in the Youth at Risk program, we now have five plus the 10 enrolled for the next term. Please continue to pray for these young people.

  • I’m thrilled to announce our partnership with a Bible-believe birthing center in the Central African Republic. We will feature this amazing facility in an upcoming blog.

  • One of the major highlights of this past year was your love, prayers and support for Brigitte's emergency medical trip to Kenya. We believe that everything she was physically experiencing was a direct result of the trauma she suffered in the past.

Thank you for your faithfulness in supporting and praying for our ministries!
