Refugee & Internally Displaced Aid

image-1.jpg

DID YOU KNOW? Rebels who pillage villages, towns and cities usually do so in the dead of night. Defenseless men, women and children must run for their lives, taking nothing with them but the clothes on their back. Families travel for days, weeks and even months before they reach a refugee camp or internally displaced camp. Along the way, many endure unspeakable violence including rape and physical torture — some even suffer the loss of loved ones.

When these individuals finally reach what they trust is a sanctuary, they are traumatized, hungry, sick and hopeless. Many times, parents and children have been separated during terrorist attacks or along the journey; older siblings are then thrust into the role of parent.

Julie’s Heart Cry donors and partners are being the hands and feet of Jesus by helping meet physical needs through basic emergency kits. These critical supplies allow families or child-headed households to put their homes back together in the most basic way.

Emergency Kits include:

  • Cooking Oil

  • Salt

  • Sugar

  • Plates

  • Bowls

  • Drinking cups

  • Utensils

  • One Blanket

  • Bars of soap

  • Large water pot

  • Large laundry tub

  • Two Cooking pots

Give a gift to provide an emergency kit and help these people who have been through so much know that someone cares about them.
