Part 2: Meeting needs, changing eternities

As you read this, Cyrus and I will have just returned from a two-week ministry trip to the Central African Republic. Our hearts are full as we reflect on all the Lord allowed us to witness and the lives He continues to transform through your prayers and support.

Before I share more, I want to correct an error in a previous blog this month. I mistakenly wrote that 11 children had accepted Christ. The correct number is that six of the 11 children placed their faith in Jesus. While we were in-country, we had the incredible privilege of taking part in their baptism. We look forward to sharing photos with you soon.

If you have been following Julie’s Heart Cry for any length of time, you know that everything we do—whether serving women, school children, child mothers, orphans, or our beloved street children—is rooted in one purpose: sharing the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ.

Many wonderful organizations work tirelessly to meet physical needs, and we are grateful for them. But at Julie’s Heart Cry, every meal served, every child embraced, every lesson taught, every medical need met, and every act of compassion is an opportunity to point someone to the saving grace of Jesus. He is the foundation of this ministry, the reason we serve, and the hope we long for every person to know.

As I close, I want to share one specific need. During our biweekly outreaches to street children, the two greatest ongoing expenses are food and medical care. Every gift, whether given once or faithfully each month, helps us care for these vulnerable children while creating opportunities to share the love and truth of Christ. If the Lord leads you to partner with us in this way, we would be deeply grateful. Your generosity allows us not only to meet urgent physical needs but also to faithfully proclaim the hope found only in Jesus.

Most of all, we ask that you continue to pray for Julie’s Heart Cry whenever the Lord brings us to mind. Your prayers sustain and encourage us more than you know.

With gratitude,

Julie & Cyrus Mad-Bondo
