JHC begins to see spiritual fruit
By Julie Mad-Bondo
The purpose of Julie’s Heart Cry is far greater than saving as many babies as possible from abortion. Our objective goes beyond helping innumerable young child mothers who have been sexually abused – almost exclusively by family members – deliver babies safely and have a better future through education.
The impetus for all our ministry endeavors internationally and, by God’s grace, inter-generationally, is to reconcile people to God.
“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” ~ Mark 8:36
We are compelled by the biblical mandate to be Jesus Christ’s ambassadors.
“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” ~ 2 Corinthians 5:20
New life in Christ
Last fall, we introduced you to Chancella, one of our child mothers from the Central African Republic (CAR). We had to remove her from her grandmother’s home when Chancella’s life – and the life of her unborn baby – were in danger.
She has since delivered a healthy baby boy named Nathanael Christopher. Chancella and her baby continue to be cared for through our ministry.
About two weeks ago, Chancella asked our program director, “This born-again thing you keep talking about. What is it? Because I want to be born again.”
Under the watchful eyes of the other children in our Youth at Risk program, as well as some of her family members, Chancella publicly professed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized.
We are reminded in Luke 15:10 that, “When one soul repents, the host of heaven rejoice.” Will you join us in rejoicing at what the Lord has done in the life of this 15-year-old? Please pray that many young people, because of the ongoing ministry of Julie’s Heart Cry, will surrender their lives to Jesus.
As I’ve shared before, other nonprofit organizations in the area offer almost the same services as we do. But what sets our ministry apart is a foundation built on God’s Word and sharing the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Although it has taken months for our work in the CAR to bear this spiritual fruit, we are praising the Lord for this precious girl who has gone from death to eternal life. Please continue to pray that countless families whose children are in our program will also become Christ-followers.
Friends, you are making global evangelization possible through your donations to this ministry. We could not have accomplished any of this without your prayers and support. Thank you for coming alongside us as we are obedient ambassadors for Him.
