Seeing people as God sees them
At Julie’s Heart Cry, we are continually learning how to see people rightly.
Too often, when we encounter poverty, we focus on what is lacking—what is broken or missing. But what if we paused and asked: How does God see this person?
Scripture reminds us that every individual is created in God’s image, formed with purpose, and uniquely gifted by Him.
This changes everything.
Poverty does not define a person—God does.
When we only see need, we may begin to view people as problems to fix. But when we see them as God does, we recognize something greater: gifts to be discovered, purpose to be awakened, and potential to be developed.
This perspective transforms how we serve, love, and share the gospel.
To those who partner with us or go on mission trips:
Before you see need, choose to see identity.
Before you see lack, choose to see value.
At Julie’s Heart Cry, we are not simply responding to poverty—we are pointing hearts to Jesus and walking alongside women and children as they discover who they are in Christ. We are helping develop the gifts God has placed within them and encouraging lives of purpose, faith, and self-sustainability.
Because when people begin to see themselves as God sees them, everything changes.
Thank you for standing with us—not just to meet needs, but to point hearts to Jesus and reveal God’s design in every life.
With gratitude,
Julie’s Heart Cry
